Mali has experience working as a teacher, coordinator and facilitator for groups of people from elementary school students to university faculty. She is exploring ways to connections between those within Canada and community development leaders in the global South through ‘global solidarity retreats’, the first of which took place at the end of September in collaboration with CoDevelopment Canada.
She works as an advisor in the Community Partnership Office, where she looks to find ways to connect the existing work of faculties and units across campus with each other and with UBC’s commitment to community engagement. Her MA in Adult Learning and Education applied a decolonizing framework to a case study of community-university engagement. Mali likes to engage with new ideas, connect like-minded people, and ride her bicycle. | email firstname.lastname@example.org
