Vancouver Change Camp 2010!

The momentum is building for Vancouver Change Camp 2010!  Earlier this year, a convener meeting was called to start planning for changecamp2010.  Since then, we’ve been hard at work to start planning the event, securing a location and brainstorming how to make this year even bigger and better than last year.

We’re pleased to announce that Vancouver Change Camp will be happening June 12th, 2010 at the old Storeyum location – 151 W. Cordova St., thanks to our partnership with the amazing folks at W2 Community Media Arts.  This location has been taken over by W2 until their new space at Woodwards becomes available.  For more info on the exciting developments at W2, check out their website.

If you’d like to find out what’s in store for this year or if you’re interested in helping us co-create VanChange Camp, join us for the next public convener meeting on April 28th, 2010 @ 5:30PM at SAP – 910 Mainland St. MAP: http://schmap.it/jyhkUp?a

At the very core of this event is public participation and ultimately, it’s the people who are involved that really make this all possible.   Whether you’re a technologist, creative, marketer, business person, innovator, public policy expert, civil servant, immigrant, parent, non-profit worker, student, social media guru, past participant or just an everyday citizen who wants to be more engaged, we’d love to hear from you!

Help us re-imagine citizen engagement and government in the age of participation!
RSVP today at: http://conveners.eventbrite.com or email us at vanchangecamp@gmail.com.

Stay tuned for even more details and ways to participate, coming your way soon!
